It has more customisation than my beloved Age of Empires 2 for the battles too and scouts can be set to auto explore, in addition to being able to have economic victories instead of killing everyone. Rise of Nations is a good one, not as complex as the civ games and similar concept to age of empires that you are looking for, just a little more detailed.Īs the ages progress more resources become available to you on the map like oil in the industrial age.
